Nuxe Masque Creme Fraiche de Beaute

also known in English as 24hr Soothing and Rehydrating Fresh Mask. At last, another Nuxe product to review so the Nuxe Reve de Miel lipbalm is no longer sad and #foreveralone under the "Nuxe" brand category! Check out my review of the Nuxe Reve de Miel Ultra Nourishing Lipbalm here!

Practical and slightly plain squeezy tube with a screw on cap. Hygienic points! Personally I don't mind practical and plain packaging if it means me having to pay less ridiculous mark-up for the "luxury".

A light cream that applies very easily and sinks in very quickly without requiring any vigorous rubbing. Does not feel sticky, heavy or oily, but for about half hour after application my skin did have that slightly moisty-steamy feeling you get when applying a rich cream. The scent is particularly lovely, and described as "white flowers" (whatever that is). I'm not an expert at describing perfumes, but I would say that the scent of this face mask is very "strong" (as in, you can definitely smell it, and so can your husband/wife/partner), but is not sickly sweet, synthetic, nauseating or cloying. It's a very light and fresh floral, kind of like when you're walking through someone's garden and you get a whiff of some really pretty flower smell but you can't quite put your finger on what it is. The scent has Mr Husband's approval, who says "you smell very nice" every time I have it on. :P If aromatherapy plays a big part in your skin + relaxation routine, definitely check this out.

This mask claims to quench thirsty skin and soothe it, and I definitely agree. I can't claim to know how it performs on the "driest skin types", but on my normal-oily combination skin it did particularly well, especially on my cheeks and around my mouth where my skin tends to be drier. I tend to use this as a night cream (and day cream, if I'm at home all day), and immediately my skin feels moist and any dry-tight areas have packed their bags. Skin the next morning is plump and fresh. I would not recommend using this as a day cream/ under makeup (unless if you have very very dry skin, perhaps) as it does make you look very dewy. Then again, I don't believe this is meant to be worn under makeup.

A reasonably priced, lovely face mask that indeed does what it says on the tin, and smells amazing to boot. Highly recommended if you want to give your skin a moistful burst overnight whilst accompanied by nice floral smells. (obviously, this is NOT for you if you have a highly sensitive nose and hate all forms of perfume in skincare)
