REVIEW: Shiseido Lifting Foundation

9:16 pm

This is another Shiseido foundation that took me pleasantly by surprise. In my experience, full coverage foundation tends to feel really heavy, look immaculate but obviously cakey. My little free sample however, totally proved me wrong.

Overall this impressed me. For a full coverage foundation, this felt no different from a light-medium coverage foundation. Can be worn sheer, or layered on for more coverage. It didn't look cakey, it didn't scream "LOOK I HAVE FOUNDATION ON".

This lasted all throughout the work day without any problems. It photographs fine with flash, no white cast. The only downside was, like the Shiseido Hydro Liquid Compact, this tends to get shiny on me a lot quicker, and I have to blot twice a day to maintain a semi-matte finish. Then again, I personally do prefer a semi-matte finish, so for those of you who like a dewy finish, this might be your cup of tea.

Conclusion: Would I buy this? Probably not, at least not now. Perhaps when I'm older, and want a more dewy finish on my dry old-lady skin... The almost £40 price tag is also a bit of a whopper, however I think this would last AGES, considering a little goes a long way. However for you ladies with normal to dry skin, or those of you who like a more dewy finish, or want more coverage without that heavy mask-like feeling, I'd recommend this!
